Area business leaders are coming together to learn more about clean energy.
The Muskingum County Business Incubator hosted the second installment of the Southeast Ohio Clean Energy Business Roundtable Series. Scott Miller with the Ohio University Voinovich School said the event is funded by an Appalachian Regional Commission Grant.
"We think that there are lots of opportunities for all sorts of businesses, and clean energy is certainly a sector that everyone is very interested in these days," said Miller. "We want to do what we can to assist local entrepreneurs that have clean energy ideas to get into the marketplace and open up new opportunities for jobs and business growth."
He said attendees can network with their peers and discuss how energy efficiency initiatives can be incorporated into their business models to reduce costs.
"What we want to try to do is give entrepreneurs the resources that they need through this panel," said Miller. "We want to have a frank discussion about business and business development."
Additional roundtables will take place in Athens and Marietta next month. For more information, visit www.ohio.edu.
