It was all about family Saturday afternoon on Blue Avenue.
The Faith United Methodist Church hosted its annual community festival, which featured activities for the entire family.
Church member Donald Wolfe said the event began as an ice cream social and from there grew to include other activities and fellowship for the community.
"In the 80s it started going downhill a little bit so we decided to spice it up a little bit and we incorporated a car show with it," said Wolfe.
In addition to the car show, kids have the opportunity to play in an inflatable bounce house and watch a puppet show.
Puppeteer Melody Tolle said while her craft is a dying industry she enjoys the chance to go out and share stories with kids.
"The main thing I like to do is make sure the kids are entertained just as well as the community is," said Tolle.
The church also sponsors a drive-in movie in the spacious parking lot for the community during the summer.
