The Kellogg corporation in Zanesville is hosting a 5K race in the name of charity.
The annual Kellogg K-5K race and mile walk steps off this Saturday at 8 a.m. with all of the proceeds going to benefit Christ's Table.
Executive Director Keely Warden said both Kellogg's and area sponsors have gone above and beyond to support the organization in the face of budget cuts.
"The Kellogg employees work very hard with silent auctions and all kinds of good stuff during the year to raise the money to put on this race so that 15 dollar entry fee goes directly to Christ Table," said Warden. "You take that times 350 or 400 people and that's 17,000 meals that we can serve here at Christ's Table."
The race takes place at the Kellogg plant on Fairview Road and the cost is $15 to register.
Warden said those interested can register online, and those who participate will receive a free t-shirt and could walk away with a trophy.
"There's tables of big trophies, so if you are a skilled runner and you want to come out and carry home a big trophy the opportunity is there for you to do it," added Warden.
Last year, warden said over 400 participants helped bring in over $5,000.
