An early morning shooting in Noble County leaves one woman dead and her husband facing charges.
It happened in Caldwell at a home on Miller Street just after 4 a.m.
In a press release issued early Monday morning, Noble County Sheriff Stephen Hannum stated he and a Sheriffs Deputy were called to the scene and found 22-year-old Tiffany Morrison lying on the floor and her husband, 24-year-old Jerad Morrison, lying next to her.
Tiffany Morrison was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was taken to the Stark County Coroner's Office for an autopsy.
Hannum said it was believed than argument may have triggered the shooting.
Jerad Morrison was taken into custody and appeared in Noble County Court this morning where he was formally charged in connection to the death of his wife.
A second press release stated that Morisson's Attorney Jack Blakeslee motioned the court for a gag order, which was granted by Judge Lucien Young III.
Neighbors of the Morrisons say they didn't hear any gunfire in the middle of the night but were notified of what happened through a neighbor on the Caldwell Facebook page.
Lawrence Hayes said when he woke up, he noticed police tape in his neighbor's yard.
"Woke up about 7:30 making coffee and I saw the ribbons around the sidewalk and around the house," recalled Hayes. "I had no clue what was going on."
Jerad Morrison is currently in the Noble County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond.
Another hearing is scheduled for late July.
