A father serving his country was able to return home in time for the delivery of his son.
Richard Sealock and his wife Amanda welcomed Cooper on July 11th at Bethesda Hospital. Joining them in welcoming his arrival, Cooper's big brother, Xander.
A member of the U.S. Army for four years, Richard was lucky to be at the birth of both of his boys. Amanda says they owe a special thanks to the Army for this one.
"His company's been really good too. Getting him back here in time. They moved the dates twice for us and didn't give us too much of a hassle," said Amanda.
With two children now the Sealock's know things will change. Amanda will continue to juggle her school and full time job while Richard deploys back to Afghanistan next week.
"I grew up in a family where family is close and I had a lot of siblings so with leaving him it was rough the first time. Let alone having to leave both of them now is going to be worse, but I think we'll make it through," said Richard.
As for plans of having more children, Amanda and Richard say they are very content with the two they have now, but there may be room in the future for another.
