An accident on the Maysville undercut injures a pregnant woman and two young children.
It happened around 4:15 p.m. when a tractor-trailer traveling southbound on Maysville Avenue went left of center and struck a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Sergeant Jon McCoy said the Zanesville Police Department and Community Ambulance responded to the call.
"There were three individuals inside the SUV," said McCoy. "All three were transported to the hospital. It was two juveniles and a pregnant female."
McCoy said none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening. The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.
"It's a blind turn on both sides," said McCoy. "You do have a guardrail in the middle and traffic coming both north and southbound. If you're not slow coming through there and stay on your side, you will meet a vehicle coming your way. There's just no way to get away from it."
Traffic was briefly shut down during the investigation. McCoy said the driver of the truck will likely be cited with driving left of center.
