Zanesville Police say that alcohol might have played a role in an accident Monday evening.
Around 8:30 p.m. Monday, Lieutenant Chris Rice said a woman traveling eastbound on Selsam Avenue went left off the roadway, struck two parked vehicles and went down an embankment.
"When they went down over the embankment, they went up the embankment up towards the driveway and then came back down the hill, and came to rest against the tree," said Rice.
The driver, whose name was not released, was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital with unknown injuries.
Rice said the Ford truck she was driving did not belong to her and that she was driving under a suspended license.
"From our investigation so far, we do believe that she is currently under suspension and the tags on the vehicle are coming back expired. We'll finish up the investigation, we'll just take it wherever it leads us. there will be charges filed, we just don't know to what degree, and what specific charges," added Rice.
Rice said a blood test will determine whether or not the woman was under the influence of alcohol during the crash.
