Ohio State Patrol says a tractor trailer and an SUV were traveling eastbound on I-70. Debbie Ramage, the driver of a Buick Rainier attempted to pass a pick-up truck on the right when she merged into the left lane she lost control traveled off the road and hit the guardrail. The driver of the semi Thomas Anthony Sophocles attempted to avoid the collision but ended up jackknifing and striking the Buick. Both went off the right side of the road. The Buick flipping on it's top and the truck ending up on it's side. Sophocles was trapped in his truck and crews worked for three hours to free him from the vehicle. Both drivers were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with moderate injuries, there were no other passengers. Trooper Stephen Williams says the wet weather could have been a factor in the crash. Both eastbound lanes closed for over three hours detouring traffic onto U.S. 22.
