Golf Outing Brightens Christmas For Sick Children

Golfers can hit the course to help sick kids.

Economy Linen is hosting a golf outing at Green Valley Golf Course September 22nd. Money raised will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for every child staying at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Kelly Beem has been organizing these golf outings every year since 2006.

"It just touches home for a lot of people because I do know a lot of people that have had children at Nationwide and you know just to let them know we are always thinking of them," said Beem

The Barn is co-sponsoring the event. After the golf outing a fundraiser will be held at the restaurant, featuring a very unique item.

"We do have a live auction with the OSU football and a lot of other large items. The OSU football was signed by John Cooper, Earle Bruce, Jim Tressel and Urban Meyer. It's a one of a kind, very unique. I don't think it's ever been done or will be done again in the near future."
