Five miners suffer injuries after an accident Wednesday morning at Buckingham Coal.
Perry County Sheriff William Barker said John Reich from Woodsfield and Brian Post from Corning were flown by Medflight to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Brian McLaughlin of Glouster and Todd Sinift of Corning were transported by local ems to O'Blenis Hospital in Athens.
A fifth victim Jeremy Hasman of Glouster was taken by EMS to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.
Sheriff Barker said at 7:13a.m. a call came in from Buckingham Coal requesting ems for an accident involving the collision of two rail cars in the mine.
Mine General Superintendent James Riffle advised that mine safety officials would be investigating the incident.
Buckingham Coal is located between Corning and Glouster.
