A pro-life group held a rally in Zanesville to raise awareness about abortion.
The Muskingum Valley Right to Life organization sponsored a prayer circle and demonstration along Maple Avenue.
Those in attendance at the annual event stood on the sidewalk and waved signs as people drove by.
"We believe that every life is important born and unborn and we're just praying that someday it will be ended," said Helen Fedorke.
The group was established back in 1975 after "Roe versus Wade", which was the landmark decision by the United States Supreme Court on the issue of abortion.
Pro-life supporters say the right to life is guaranteed to all and no person has the right to deny that freedom.
"It is life and in our Constitution we were given that right and for somebody to think they can take it away is wrong and that's where we stand with it," added Right to Life president Mike Musselman.
The Muskingum Valley Right to Life organization also helps women dealing with un-planned pregnancies through the Heartbeat Family Center.
