Engines will fire up at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds Saturday.
The Mid-East Ohio Model Engineering Expo is back in Zanesville. People come from all over the country to display their hand-made model engines.
"An example is we have a Gatlin gun here or V8's or a six cylinder engine or a single cylinder engine or steam engines or electric motors, we have just about anything here," said Model Engineering Expo Director, Paul Debolt
Debolt says for participants model engine building is more than a hobby, for most it is an obsession.
"Some of these projects have enormous amount of time put into them and most of these guys are very meticulous about what they do and they're highly detailed, they're all operational so they function just like the real full-size items," said Debolt.
The expo will take place at the veterans complex at the fairgrounds. The public is encouraged to come. Items will be on sale for those interested in building their own model engines.
The cost is eight dollars per adult. Eleven and under can get in for free.
