A benefit was held at Tree of Life church to help a little boy and his family.
5-month-old Elijah Holliday suffers from several heart conditions, and had to have surgery just days after his birth. Saturday a prayer run and dinner were held to help raise money for the family.
"The rain kind of put a damper on things." explained Elijah's mother, Chrissy Holliday. "I think we had ten or twelve go on the prayer run, and said it was awesome."
Though Holliday says Elijah has been a trooper, he still has a long road ahead of him, and is still waiting to have a second heart surgery.
"We have to go back between 2 and 5 to have open heart surgery, so it'll help kind of pay for the medical expenses and stuff like that."
Holliday says the community has been overwhelmingly supportive of her son and family.
