An annual holiday craft bazaar was held at Secrest Auditorium to benefit the Zanesville City Schools Dance Team.
Over eighty vendors brought crafts and materials in to sell. The money raised goes to help the operation of the Zanesville Devilettes program. Uniforms and props are just some of the items the money will help purchase.
"It's great because as an activity at Zanesville high school we are self-supportive in that way, and this is a real great fundraiser for us because it's a nice service to the community as well as asking for support." said Wayne Carpenter, director of the Devilettes
While some events may have struggled with todays dreary weather, Carpenter says rain is welcome every year for the bazaar.
"We have a better crowd down here on days when it's kind of drizzly, rain all day, because people can't get out and do any yard work or anything like that." he explained.
The kitchen was filled with homemade items for those looking for lunch. There was also a raffle held. Carpenter anticipated raising several thousand dollars for the Devilettes program.
