Storm Prep

Riesbeck's Pick'n Save on Howard street in Zanesville is prepping for the effects of Hurricane Sandy.

Assistant store director Steve Fusner says the store has already started ordering the items that fly of the shelves in the wake of a storm.

"We really haven't noticed an increase yet, but we look for it coming." said Fusner. "We've stock-piled on vegetables and milk and eggs, and have a delivery of ice coming."

Last June's severe weather caused many stores to run out of ice or put a limit on ice sales, but Fusner says there should be plenty of ice this time around. While the store is preparing for the worst, they're hoping for the best.

"We don't have generators in this store, hopefully the power won't go out but you never can tell, but we'll try to do the best we can to serve our customers." he explained.

Fusner says Riesbeck's Pick'n Save is prepared for power outages, and has also stocked up on batteries and water in case residents in our area face a blackout. The store has also ordered extra salt in case our area sees snowfall.
