They'll be some very happy kids in our area come Christmas due to the Salvation Army.
This weekend the Salvation Army held a toy drive at the Zanesville Walmarts to help collect items for their toy room. These toys will be given to children that may not otherwise have Christmas.
"It does my heart good to give and give back to the community," said Salvation Army Advisory Board Member Ron Apperson. "The folks here they are giving."
Apperson said the generosity of our community is outstanding.
"I've lived in Zanesville and the Muskingum County community my whole life and it really doesn't surprise me that much because I know we have a caring giving community," said Apperson.
Distribution Day at the Salvation Army is December 20th. If you would like to help wrap presents for the children contact the Salvation Army.
