The rain that fell in our area has those at the Dillon Dam keeping a watchful eye on water levels.
Project Supervisor Clifton Kilpatrick said that since Friday two inches of rain as fallen at the dam.
"The water has saturated the ground pretty good. We did have some high water come in from Newark area so we had to make the adjustments over the weekend and so we're getting close to normal," said Kilpatrick.
Kilpatrick said with the saturation, if more rain falls, it could lead to problems since the rain will have no where to go.
"We keep in contact with local agencies particularly the EMA and our water control down in the Huntington District. They look at the whole entire basin. All those different factors help us in trying to do our best for the local public," explained Kilpatrick.
Kilpatrick said they watch levels through computer, by phone and even by cell phone everyday.
