Recent renovations to the Carr Center prompted the facility to host an open house to show off their new look.
Thanks to a $25,000 grant from the Cora E. Rogge trust fund, the center has spent the last few months painting and renovating to make some much needed changes to their adult day care facility.
"We had some frankly some pretty tacky furniture, it wasn't very inviting some of it was getting weak and unsafe so it was desperate we're so blessed to have that we're very grateful and we think we've used the money very wisely," said Carr Center Executive Director, John Hajjar.
The renovations were a collaborative effort that involved many individuals, organizations and contractors.
"I'm appreciative to our board, the community our staff and really the clients because if it weren't for the clients we would have no need to be here, they're like family to us and we're like family to them," said Hajjar.
The Carr Center is located on Beverly Avenue in Zanesville. The center provides seniors and adults with disabilities with individualized, daytime care.
