Multiple people were sent to the hospital Monday morning, as the result of a three-vehicle accident.
The Zanesville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said it happened around 8:30 Monday morning on State Route 60 North in the area of McGlade School Road. Trooper Mike Forshey said a blue pickup truck and a tan SUV were headed southbound, while a green SUV was heading north.
"The green SUV lost control, in the area behind where the lower fire truck is parked, and came off the right side of the roadway, came back across the road left of center, hit the blue pickup truck, the tan vehicle, swerved off the road to try to miss hitting everybody, and when it came off the side of the road, it flipped and rolled and landed right up against the pickup
truck," said Trooper Mike Forshey.
Monday's accident is one of a few that have occurred in the area of McGlade School Road in recent weeks. Trooper Forshey said the cause for these instances may be investigated in the near future.
"We handle a lot of accidents all over the place, and we handle a good many accidents here. But, we handled a fatal accident 300 yards down the road last week. And of course, there was a school bus crash here a couple years ago. But, I don't have an answer, I can't figure this out."
All of the people involved in Monday's accident were transported to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries. Their names are not being released at this time, as the accident remains under investigation.
