A home near Roseville is considered to be a total loss after a fire broke out Wednesday.
It happened at 3800 Baughman Run Road around 3:30 p.m. The Newton Township Fire Department said crews encountered heavy smoke when they arrived at the scene.
Firefighters battled the blaze from the outside, and for good reason, because the roof collapsed. A tanker was used until crews were able to draft water from a pond located on the property.
The department said the cause of the fire is unknown at this time, but it might have been electrical. The State Fire Marshal will conduct an investigation. Two people were home at the time, but no injuries were reported.
