Over two-thousand of Muskingum County's youth attended the New Hope's Church, 6th annual "Restoration" service this weekend. The event was held at the Secrest Auditorium Friday and Saturday where 12 to 24 year olds participated in worship sessions, listened to motivational speakers and even jammed out to Christian rock together.
"The sessions are going great, the bands are going great the kids, it's a really active weekend. We're blowing up the social media with Instagram, Twitter and Facebook the kids are really really excited about this weekend," said New Hope Youth Pastor, Adam King.
The event touched on difficult topics that affect young people including depression, drinking, anger and drugs.
"The whole weekend, it's called "Break out" it's about breaking out of the monotony of life, the robotics of life and really understanding that they are free and that God, and what God did by sending his son and that they are actually free and that they don't have to go back to those chains, those bondage's, the captivity that they're in.
