Florida is one of the top destinations for spring break goers according to Triple A.
A spokesperson for the company said Ohioans are flocking to the Sunshine State and taking advantage of Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Tampa. But, there's one location that is also getting a lot of spring break travelers.
"We noticed Washington DC among are top list because of the Cherry Blossom Festival. We also actually have a motor coach tour that's going to be leaving from Zanesville and going out to D.C. during spring break time," said Kimberly Schwind AAA Spokesperson.
Puerto Rico, Las Vegas and Honolulu are also popular destinations for Ohio travelers this spring break. But, before you said so long to the cold weather Schwind said to keep some things to mind.
"Make sure you stop mail, make sure you leave an itinerary of your travel plans with your friends or family back along with some copies of your identification," said Schwind. "Make sure you let your credit card company know that you are going to be traveling so they don't put a hold on your credit card."
Schwind said if you plan on flying make sure to check the TSA's website for guidelines on what you can bring aboard a plane and leave yourself plenty of time to get through security.
