Roseville, Crooksville and New Lexington crews responded to a two vehicle crash that happened around 5 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of Ridge St. and Route 93 in Crooksville.
"A blue Hyundai Sonata driven by Amanda Groves, she was on Ridge St., it looks like she was crossing the street, I haven't talked to her yet. She pulled in front a red Jeep Wrangler, 2008, that was traveling north bound on 93, she failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by the Jeep Wrangler," said State Highway Patrol Officer Robert Wilson.
According to Ohio State Patrol, Groves was trapped in her car and it took about fifteen minutes to cut her out. She will be cited for driving under a suspended license, failure to yield to a stop sign and for not wearing a seatbelt.
"Mrs. Cook was taken to Good Samaritan for her injuries, it looked like they were minor. Mrs. Groves however, was transported by MedFlight to Grant Hospital in Columbus."
The passengers in both vehicles were not injured. Ohio State Patrol Officer Wilson says he doesn't believe drugs and alcohol are a factor, but says both drivers will be tested for drugs and alcohol because of the severity of the crash.
