A Zanesville man who pleaded guilty to shooting his wife learned his fate Monday. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office said that 42-year-old Dwayne Miller went before Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill and was sentenced to 24 years in prison on felonious assault and kidnapping charges.
Zanesville Police say on January 31st, Miller shot his wife, Margaret, at their home on Lafayette Street following an argument. Police said Miller, who was still armed, fled the scene and got into a standoff with officers before being taken into custody.
