Summer like weather in the spring prompts the people of Zanesville to get outside and enjoy the day.
Today was warm with a slight breeze in the air. The weather was a drastic change from the gray rainy days that mid April often brings.Tammy Higgins co- workers suprised her with a lunch, celebrating her new position as the Administrative Assistant at the Genesis Foundation. Then the group is back to business opting to have their meeting outside.
"We were actually going to have our meeting inside but the weather was so beautiful everyone wanted to be outside,"Higgins said.
A little ways down the trail we met Brayant Torres, he works at a converyor belt company in town and was training for the Boston marathon.
"Well I'm actually a little bit injured I've been trying to get back in shape by running I was trying to qualify for Boston for 2013, but with the injury I might have to wait until 2015 to do it, but with the weather can't beat being outside better than being in the gym.
As the weather reached the high seventies. We needed a place to cool down. What better than a custard shop. co-owner of Whit's custard Terry Wells said he wasnt suprised by the summer like weather.
"Well we always expect it to come early. Last year we had like seventy degrees in March and then some days were in the 80's so this year it was kinda slow for us so yea this is doing good," said Wells.
Wells says business today was very busy even hectic at times but thats a good thing. There are slight chances of isolated thunderstorms later tonight but as of now people are out enjoying their day.
