An Ohio business plans to make a home at the Muskingum County Business Incubator as long as the Muskingum County Commissioners, approve of the lease for the county owned property .
On Monday, the Executive Director of the Business Incubator, which councils small businesses to be successful, met with commissioners to discuss the logistics of the new company moving in and the opportunities it would provide for the community.
"It's called Connect Ohio initiatives and it actually is going to help train individuals who maybe now are out of work to be able to use the computer and possibly work from home to serve, " said Executive Director of the MCBI Carol Humphreys.
The next step in the process now, is for the County Commissioners to be sure they approve of the lease, in order to have the company in house by May 6th.
"Actually the county will talk with their attorney, make sure that the lease looks like it has all of the right components and then we will go forward. Hopefully with signing that contract and getting the company on board," explained Humphreys.
The building will need some renovations on the second floor, where Ohio Connect will be located, and will have a bathroom upstairs for employee and handicap usage.
