The Lorena Sternwheeler went through a routine inspection by the Coast Guard in March and it turns out the repairs weren't as expensive as they originally thought.
"We are very excited the Lorena Sternwheeler is back in the water and it has already set sail," said Kelly Ashby, V.P. of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce.
Ashby says there will be public rides, dinner, lunch and twilight cruises and a variety of different themed rides too.
"There's even a story time on the Lorena Sternwheeler this year. You can be the captain for the day and steer the boat so lots of great opportunities this summer and fall with the Lorena Sternwheeler but most importantly it is back in the water. It has passed all the inspections and it has already set sail and so please feel free to stop in the Welcome Center and pick up a schedule."
