The Licking County Sheriff's Office responded to a pipe bomb situation Thursday morning just before 10 a.m.
Deputies said they were called to 6487 Waktins Road in Pataskala, where a property owner was cleaning a house trailer behind the residence. The trailer had recently been vacated and property was left behind.
While inside he discovered three pipe bombs. A complete search of the property was conducted by bomb sniffing dogs and bomb squad personnel. No other devices were found.
The sheriff's office located several subjects who previously lived their and one admitted to assembling the bombs. The subject said they were made 10 years ago and were made to detonate on the property. The subject told Deputies they had no intentions of creating harm.
The subject's name isn't being released pending further investigation.
Licking County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the West Licking Fire District, Franklin County Bomb Squad, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearm Agents, US Marshalls and FBI agents.
