If you are looking for a safe place for your child during the afternoons this summer, that are also filled with learning, sports, sunshine, and activities turn to the Muskingum Family YMCA!
This week the YMCA kicked off its summer camps, and there is a wide selection to choose from besides traditional and adventure camps, that are grouped by age.
"Our Conservation Camp which begins next week and runs Monday and Wednesdays,” said Executive Director , Craig Miracle. “We need preregistration for that by tomorrow. And then we have a steam camp, it's a science camp and it's free to students entering 6th through 8th grade in Zanesville City Schools."
Steam Camp has two, two week sessions, which start next week. So Miracle asks you to be registered for the first week by Thursday. He also says one of the best things about the YMCA camps is that they are flexible for every family's particular schedules.
"The great thing about our day camp is, you don't have to commit to the entire summer. You can chose your days, week, you are not committed to everyday, or anything. It's just what works best for you and your family."
Camps and registration dates are on the YMCA's website, www.mcmfy.org, as well as pricing for members and non members. The park and pool open to the public Saturday June first.
