Healthcare reform is a heavily debated topic in Washington D.C. People in Muskingum County want to know how the Affordable Care Act affects their businesses.

The Muskingum County Business Incubator brought in a speaker from the Ohio Department of Insurance to break down possible changes businesses could see under the act.

"The biggest changes is going to be the escalating cost.. as we try to provide insurance for more people there is a bigger cost and so the insurance cost have continued to rise in the last couple of years, " said Membership Services Director at the Muskingum County Chambers of Commerce, Dana Matz.

The program kicks off Small Business Week in Muskingum County and more than 75 people showed up to learn more about the pros and cons of the affordable care act.

" Is it going to be sustained at a certain level ? Is it going to to go up? Are more services going to be required or less services? A lot of uncertainties that large business and small businesses owners are trying to figure out, " said Matz

Human resource directors, insurance agents and business owners were all present at the event to ask questions and receive the latest information on healthcare reform.
