Around 5 p.m. Sunday night an injury accident involving three vehicles occurred on Maysville Pike U.S. Route 22 that shut down traffic for hours and sent many to the hospital.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that a green Chevy Silverado truck, that was connected to a camper trailer, came through the intersection at U.S. Route 22 and State Route 345 and collided with two Washington County women driving motorcycles.
"The trailer slid around the truck and one of them slid beneath the camper and the other one actually went into the camper," said Lieutenant, Matt Boyd.
There were four victims hospitalized resulting from injuries received at the accident and one was taken by Medflight.
" One of the ladies on the motorcycle was actually flown to OSU Medical Center in Columbus with serious injuries.. probably life threatening and the other lady was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center, " said Boyd./
Two juvenile girls in the camper that were also injured. They were sent to Genesis South Good Samaritan Hospital. The Ohio State Highway Patrol had one of their accident reconstructionist come out to better assess the scene. He will remap the accident to understand what happened.
