Every year, the Muskingum County Senior Task Force throws a picnic for area seniors to enjoy themselves. President Mike Bryan says the task force was started as a way to help out seniors and their families who have questions and concerns about senior living and help improve the quality of their life.

Bryan said, "The idea behind it is, most seniors don't know where to go to find out answers about things. Particularity questions about home health care, assisted living care, skilled nursing care. They don't know who to talk to first."

The picnic included hot dogs, hamburgers and other cook-out themed food for lunch. And the seniors played bingo and even got to go in the Community Bank wind-machine to win money.

"My understanding was people were here around 8 O'clock in the morning so it's gonna be a long day of events here today. But again, I think it'll be a nice one."
