Former Restaurant Owner Dies

A well known former Zanesville restaurant owner has died. 84-year-old Nick Mesre passed away at Genesis Hospice Morrison House on Sunday. He was the former owner of Pine Pizza and Nicholetti’s Pizzeria, and was a cook at the Barn. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Snouffer Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Snouffer Chapel. Mesre will be laid to rest in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors.
