The Y-Bridge Arts Festival is at Colony Square Mall this year and more than 50 artists started setting up their booths to get ready for this weekends big show.
"We started setting up around 10 o'clock," said Becky Joseph, a co-chair for the festival. "We're gonna set up until 4. People started coming even earlier then 10 o'clock. They're very excited and we're feeling a lot of positive energy at the festival this year."
Every artist will have a booth where you can view and purchase their artwork and there will be a children's craft area for your kids to enjoy too. The art community is celebrating the start of the festival by having an event Friday night behind the Masonic Temple in downtown Zanesville.
"There will be a DJ, beverages and a little party cookoff. All of the gallery's downtown will be open for our usual Friday artwalk and starting tomorrow at 10 o'clock we just encourage everyone to come out to the mall."
The kick off started at 5 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m. The art festival starts Saturday and goes until Sunday.
