A brand new organization is taking over a variety show that Genesis Healthcare founded 25 years ago.
The Follies Family is the new home of the Zaney Follies variety show. The show raises money for Genesis Hospice and is performed every year by local talent.
"Hospice is near and dear to all of the participants that have been in the Zaney Follies. They have either been touched by Hospice personally or a family member or a friend or someone they loved, so this performance and this show comes from their hearts," said Vice President of the Follies Family, Charlotte Snider.
Both the president and vice president of the Follies Family have been working with Genesis Hospice for more than 20 years and say they wanted to see the mission continue and that's why they created the non profit organization.
"There will be some changes. We will be on our own and making all of our own decisions. We will still have the show at Seacrest Auditorium and the money that we make will benefit the hospice program, " said President of the Follies Family, John Kullman.
There will be three showings, one on Friday, March 21st and two on Saturday, March 22nd.For more information about the show, donations or the Follies Family feel free to contact Seacrest Auditorium at 740-454-6851.
