The Village of Frazeysburg showed their appreciation for American Veterans through the unveiling of a patriotic mural at their municipal building.
In 2012 local artist, Sean Elliott completed the middle of portion of the mural and on Monday, the left and right sides of the large painting were revealed. Elliott served as an air force desert combat instructor in Nevada and says this mural has close ties to his heart.
"I served for six years and I paint these things to connect with my brothers and sisters in arms, and my dad was a veteran so I always kind of have a secret dedication to my father in this as well, " said Elliott.
Elliott is also a 1996 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and wanted to add touches of the community into his art work. He says that he hopes the public feels a connection to the mural when viewing it.
" The canon that's on the far left side that's from right down the street and then we have a few people that served on some naval ships in the area so I used specifically those naval ships to represent them," said Elliott.
Elliott specifically designed the piece so that men, women and people of all ethnicities were displayed and recognized as American heroes
