Locals got an early start on the fall season with a trip to McDonald's Greenhouse and Farm on Adamsville Road.
Saturday was the first day that the McDonalds opened their Native American inspired corn maze for the season. They have run the maze for the past 8 years and are anticipating a good season.
"The weather has been great. This summer was a really rainy summer so we are anxious and we hope that the fall is not so rainy so we can have lots of fun times, " Co-Owner, Susan McDonald.
Along with the corn maze, visitor's can go through the enchanted forest that is filled with fun facts about nature, enjoy an old fashioned hay ride, pick pumpkins or pet an alpaca at the petting zoo. McDonald says that educating children is a large part of the business.
"During the week we have scout troops and day cares and elementary schools that come and bring their field trips out to the farm and then on weekends you're welcome to bring your family and come out and do all the activities together," said Mcdonald.
Admission is $5 and you can check their website for a list of hours and more information.
