Have you been waiting for your favorite perfume or cologne to go on sale at Elder-Beerman?
Well, if you donate your unwanted clothes at Elder-Beerman inside Colony Square Mall or any area Goodwill location, you'll receive a coupon that can be used at Elder-Beerman for each item you donate.
"Generally twice a year we partner up with Elder-Beerman," said Connie Kimble, manager of the Goodwill on Maple Avenue. "And what customers can do is bring in their gently-used items here at Elder-Beerman or to one of our stories; either Maple or South Zanesville, or to one of our attended donation centers which is located in the Kmart parking lot and the Juneway parking lot."
For every item you donate, you'll get a coupon that can be used on one item. So, if you donate 10 articles of clothing, you'll get 10 coupons. The coupons can be used for 25 percent off both regular and sale priced apparel, 20 percent off accessories, footwear, dresses and outerwear, or you can use it towards buying yourself new make-up.
"You can use it on things that you never get a discount on like cosmetics, fragrances, Levi, Columbia and Fossil," said Elder-Beerman Manager Annie Wolfer. "So it's a little bit different sale than anything else. And again, what a great way to help out somebody else and treat yourself too."
The Elder-Beerman Goodwill Sale runs through October 5. The bi-annual sale is the longest-standing donation drive in the country.
