Traffic was backed up on Interstate 70 near New Concord on Friday Afternoon following a roll over accident.
The State Highway Patrol says that two vehicles were heading Eastbound on I-70 around 2:30 p.m.on Friday Afternoon, when a commercial vehicle made an improper lane switch causing a red sedan to lose control.
"The commercial was in the left lane," said Trooper, Ryan Tysinger. The commercial signaled to move right and struck the four door car in the front left, causing that vehicle to spin out, roll over and come down the median. "
There were no other passengers in the vehicles at the time of the accident and no injuries were reported. Trooper Tysinger says that both drivers were wearing their seat belts. The New Concord Fire Department assisted on the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
