The Maysville School District is dealing with another bomb threat..The second in two weeks.
School Superintendent, Monte Bainter says that he received a call from the 6-12 building that yet another bomb threat was made at around 3:15 Thursday Afternoon. Officials say that the second threat was also written in one of the second story bathrooms of the middle school.
"We are meeting administratively," said Bainter. The first thing in the morning to implement some different protocols that will be made to see that we don't have these any more. "
The school was forced to cancel senior night and all other activities. Bainter says they are taking this matter very seriously.
"I will tell you this it will be dealt with to the fullest extent that we can from the school district and also we will press criminal charges and they will be dealt with very severely that way," says Bainter.
The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office drug dog was brought to the school to investigate. The Newton Township Fire Department is also assisted at the scene. Officials say that classes will resume as normal on Friday.
