After six days of testimony from multiple forensic experts, and two women involved in the case the state has rested.

Just after 10:30 Tuesday morning the prosecution turned the murder trial of Lafonse Dixon over to the defense.

Tuesday morning the defense brought forward one witness, an EMT that arrived and treated Celeste Fronsman at the scene. The EMT testified that she only heard Fronsman say the name K.C. Culberson.

During cross examination Assistant Prosecutor Ron Welch asked the witness what her first priority is when responding to a call and she responded treating the patient.

The court is in recess until 1p.m. Tuesday when the defense will continue to build its case.

Dixon is charged with aggravated murder, kidnapping and aggravated arson in Fronsman's death. He faces the death penalty if convicted.
