After deliberating much of Wednesday afternoon and into the night, the jury in the Lafonse Dixon murder trial reached a verdict Thursday morning.
Just after 10 a.m. the jury declared Dixon guilty on charges of aggravated murder, kidnapping and aggravated arson in the 2012 death of 29-year-old Celeste Fronsman.
Dixon faces the death penalty in the case. The sentencing phase starts Tuesday.
Attorney's were instructed to not speak about the case until after sentencing.
In August of 2012 Fronsman was found burned and beaten on State Route 208 near Adamsville.
Two women involved in the case, Monica Washington and Katrina Culberson previously plead guilty to charges of aggravated murder, kidnapping and aggravated arson. In exchange for their testimony against Dixon they avoided the death penalty.
