Governor John Kasich Thursday announced a new 120-million dollar effort to fix and replace locally owned bridges.  In Muskingum County three bridges are on the list and in the City of Zanesville one bridge is part of the deal.  The city bridge is on Muskingum Avenue over Chaps Runs.  The county bridges are Wilson Road over Brush Creek, Coopermill Road over Thompson Run and Foxfire Drive over Thompson Drive.  Work is expected to start next year.  The funds are made available by Ohio’s successful efforts to overhaul highway funding by reducing overhead costs and improving efficiency at the Ohio Department of Transportation.
