The Muskingum Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is proud to announce the winners of the 2013 HOMETOWN HEROES awards.
SFC Jason Barnhouse was chosen as the 2013 Military Hero and is sponsored by
American Legion Post 29

Betty Ward is the Education Hero and is sponsored by at&t
Sandra Harstine was chosen as the 2013 Health Care Hero and is sponsored by Imlay’s Uniforms.
Mark Bretz is the Muskingum County Community Hero and is sponsored by The Community Bank.
Pastor McGuire is the 2013 Faith Based Hero and is sponsored by the Times Recorder.


Judy Bragg was chosen as the Morgan County Hero and is sponsored by Citizens National Bank.
This year the Perry County Community Hero is Martina Brown and is sponsored by Wal*Mart South.
Frank and Kristy Jennings was chosen as the Hero to Pets and is sponsored by Matesich Distributing.
Chief Amy English are the 2013 Public Safety Hero and they are sponsored by The Energy Cooperative.
Jasmine Crain and Blaine Hensley was chosen as the Youth Hero and is sponsored by Wal*Mart North.
Julie Patton is the Work Place Hero and is sponsored by Sam’s Club.
Pat Wheeler was chosen as the 2013 Senior Adult Hero and is sponsored by Norman Jones Enlow & Company.
Bob and Kathy Werner was chosen as the 2013 Guernsey/Noble County Hero and is sponsored by Barnes Advertising Corp.

The HOMETOWN HEROES breakfast celebration is Friday, November 8, 2013 at 7:30 am. This year’s event will take place at North Terrace Church of Christ located at 1420 Brandywine Blvd. Zanesville.  Tickets for the breakfast are $15.00 per person or $150.00 to reserve a table for eight. Tickets are available at the Muskingum Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross located at 22 South 7th Street, Zanesville. Zandex Health Care sponsors this year’s breakfast.
The Hometown Heroes breakfast is truly an amazing event. It is a very heartwarming ninety minutes to hear and see ordinary people follow their hearts and do something very extraordinary.
