Licking County Election Results

There were several county positions up for grabs in Licking County...

Marcia Phelps defeated Olivia Thorp for Municipal Court Clerk by just shy of 1800 votes. The new Treasurer for Newark is Timothy Mercer, beating Liz Kyle by nearly 2,000 votes.

There were six wards in licking with candidates running for Newark City Council. In the 1st Ward, it was a very close race with Dee Hall defeating Vickie Chrisley by only 54 votes.

Jeremy Blake defeated Mark Christenberry in the 2nd Ward for city council by about 170 votes.

The 3rd Ward Council winner was Jeff Rath, beating out Bob Diebold and Julie Barrett.

Alexander Roletta IV, conquered Rhonda Loomis by nearly 270 votes, in the 4th Ward in Newark.

In the 5th Ward, the new member for city council, is Curtis Johnson who won by 333 votes over Ann Rader .

There was no contest in the 6th Ward, but the 7th Ward will now have Carol Floyd as a council member for Newark, winning by just over 100 votes over Beau Bromberg.

Granville's School Levy just passed by a margin of only 41 votes for Current Expenses. Heath School Levy is another winner. The levy for Emergency Requirements passed by nearly 350 votes. And Emergency Requirements for Newark City Schools also passed by about 1400 votes.
