Tis the season for Rambo Memorial Health's annual Yule Time Seal campaign.
In the next few days residents can check their mailboxes for the familiar stickers that can be used on their holiday mailings. This year the organization will send out 12,000 seals. Along the seals is an envelope and card that can be filled out and returned to Rambo along with a donation to support their Respiratory Care Association. One hundred percent of the donations stay local.
"It's earmarked for prevention. It's earmarked for education and all respiratory illness in our area," said Chairperson Mary Burkhart. "This is in support of residents of Muskingum County and that's what is important."
Some of the respiratory services provided by Rambo include TB testing, chest x-rays, EKSs and blood pressure screenings. Burkart is hoping that even though funds are tight people will find room to donate.
"It's a little tighter economy and we just hope that the community can support us as much as they can help us anyway that they can," said Burkhart.
This is the 60th year for the seal campaign. The goal this year is to raise $30,000 for respiratory care. If you don't receive any seals, stop by Rambo Memorial Health at 711 Main Street in Zanesville to pick yours up.
