Santa Arrives at the Colony Square Mall

A large number of community members lined up in front of the Colony Square Mall to welcome Santa Claus to town.

The 11th Annual Santa's Arrival Parade took place on Saturday. Santa was there along with more than 30 other features, which included miniature horses, llamas, law enforcement agencies and more. Children were able to pick up candy and interact with all of the fun characters during the parade.

"That makes it all worth while." said Colony Square Mall Marketing and Business Development Coordinator, Kevin Pinson." We put a lot of time into organizing the parade and promoting it, but when Santa comes around that corner and you see kids faces light up that's the reward right there. "

Santa says he will be at the mall all the way until Christmas Eve taking pictures and asking children for their wish lists. He says that he is currently preparing for the big night before Christmas and he plans to visit plenty of children in our area and around the world.

"Visiting about 12 billion homes delivering gifts to all the very good boys and girls." said Santa Claus.

Once he was done with the parade, Santa gave out coloring books to all of the children he sat with while taking holiday pictures.
