Traffic was shut down on Adams Lane for about an hour on Thursday following an injury accident.
The Zanesville Post of the Highway Patrol says that at around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday two cars collided when driving opposite directions on the roadway.
"The car to my left was against the embankment coming south on Adams Lane, the car that's on its side was coming north on Adams Lane, the car that hit the embankment went left of center striking the car on its side causing it to overturn once it hit the guardrail," said Trooper Joshua Weaver.
Trooper Weaver says that the man driving southbound admitted to driving too quickly. He will most likely be cited for driving left of center. He also reports that one man was sent to Good Samaritan Hospital following the incident.
"The gentleman that was driving the car that's against the embankment was transported with minor injuries. I haven't identified him yet and haven't had a chance to talk to him, the other gentleman he's standing down by his vehicle right now, " said Trooper Weaver.
Weather was not a factor in the accident and the crash remains under investigation. Falls Township Fire Department, EMS and the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office all assisted on the scene.
