For most cities the season for having farmer's markets is over, but in Granville the event carries on.
For the third season, the Granville Indoor Farmer's Market has taken place at Granville Elementary School. At the market there are a variety of fruits, vegetables and meats for people to purchase. Owner of Hiland Naturals Farm says that customers enjoy coming to his stand because he is a Non GMO certified establishment, which he says is better than simply organic labels because it can be tested.
"Our stuff is all pasture raised. Our pigs even run in the woods so they are eating acorns and it adds a different flavor to the meats so when we do our sausages and different cuts of pork people are like wow this is the best tasting stuff, " said Owner, Dan Masters.
He says that the market also allows people to socialize and visitors says they are always happy to support local business. The winter farmer's market will run until mid February.
