The volunteers at Christ's Table are doing their part to make sure everyone has a happy holiday.
This year Christ's Table is expected to feed approximately 3,000 locals during the week of Christmas. On Monday they served guest a traditional holiday meal complete with turkey, mashed potatoes and corn and on Wednesday they prepared a special menu for Christmas.
"Today we are doing ham and sweet potatoes and green beans and cake and anything else I can think of that's sweet and would be nice to eat, " said Head Cook, Tom Collins.
Collins says it took him about a week to prepare the menu and volunteers came in at 6 a.m. to make sure all the food was set and ready for visitors.
"I have had so many volunteers come in in the last three days to help to serve, serving is the big thing having somebody there to to keep the line going that's really important. It's nice to have folks come in and volunteer their time on a day where they could celebrate Christmas at home," said Collins.
Along with volunteers, a musician played Christmas tunes for guests. Christ's table would like to thank the community for their food donations that made the Christmas menu possible.
